TSTC Abilene adds night plumbing classes for working adults

Texas State Technical College is adding evening classes to its plumbing and pipefitting program in Abilene so that people with day jobs can learn the trade.

Instructor Steve Longmire said the classes will meet four nights a week from 6 to 9:40 p.m. He said the program is built to prepare students to become journeyman plumbers. On Monday, Nov. 2, a representative of the local employer Lochridge Priest spoke to students about what the company looks for in new hires.

Spring registration is open, and classes start Jan. 11.
