Breckenridge's First Methodist Turkey Dinner, a tradition since 1947, is Nov. 12
Volunteers baked about 45 pumpkin and 60 pecan pies. Tickets are $15.
CommunityFirst Methodist Church of Breckenridge will hold its yearly Turkey Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church has held the dinner every year since 1947, except for a couple of pandemic years, as a fundraiser and community outreach.
Dine in at the church's Christian Life Center, 419 W. Walker St., or use the take-out drive-through behind the church. The plate includes turkey and dressing, green beans, new potatoes, gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, fruit salad and pumpkin or pecan pie.
Tickets are $15 and are sold by church members, at the church and at local banks. A Country Store at the dinner will sell baked goods and holiday gifts. Volunteers spent two days baking about 45 pumpkin pies and 60 pecan pies for the event.
