Reed Resale goes from a garage side business to a downtown storefront in months

Reed Resale, a women's clothing consignment shop that also sells online, has opened in a downtown Abilene storefront. Owner Allie Reed started the business in her garage in April.

Sellers bring in clothes, which the shop photographs and lists online, and the sale money is split between the shop and the seller. Reed told the station the idea started when her mother asked her to sell some clothes on Facebook Marketplace. When the garage ran out of room, she found the downtown space through Support Small Business of Abilene.
